The Titan Shelter is available for installation in Claremore and nearby areas by the professionals at Survivor Shelters. Instead of having an angled entrance like the Guardian and LifeSaver models, the Titan shelter is flat and flush with the ground.

 

For a more inconspicuous or less noticeable shelter on your property, this would be the choice for you. The interior is 6’ 2” to accommodate taller family members and has a capacity from 6 people up to 16, making these shelter options optimal for both large and small families.​

Features of The Titan Concrete Shelter

Ventilation: 6″ vent and 8" wind turbine vent

Steps / Ladder: 6 skid-resistant steps with double safety handrails

Door: 

  • Reinforced steel door and frame meet FEMA 320 and 361 standards and ICC 500 standard

  • The door has a gas spring assist for easy door opening

  • The door has a 3-point locking system for max security

  • Optional decorative finishes are available for all Titan models in gray rock or brown rock finish for $800 more

Concrete storm shelters may come from multiple manufacturers depending on model and availability. All are fully compliant with FEMA storm shelter standards. Dimensions and quality will be consistent. However, there may be slight differences in the aesthetics i.e. look of the door, air vents, door shocks, etc.

 

Prices include delivery & installation within a Survivor Shelters location. Mileage or travel fee may be assessed if more than 50 miles from the nearest local installer. Please contact our office for further details or the location of the nearest installer.

Can I put a flat top shelter inside my house?

Have you built your house yet? If not, yes! You can have a concrete flat top (Titan Series) shelter installed before the slab is poured.

 

Do I need a building permit to install a shelter?

Some cities and towns require a building permit. Contact your local Building Inspection or Code Enforcement department to find out. Storm shelters are typically treated as an accessory building for permitting purposes. Cities vary in their permitting requirements.

 

How easy is it to get a building permit?

City building inspection departments are accommodating and will walk you through the process. Getting a permit involves completing a simple building permit application and providing two copies of your property plot plan (or survey) with the shelter location designated on the drawing and engineering drawings of the shelter (which we will provide to the city). Some cities require the contractor to obtain the permit. We will work to make your experience as pleasant as possible.
